A heroic dog named Blackie saved Lisseth Martinez from a stranger who she said stabbed her after breaking into her home.Lisseth was with her 11-month old daughter at her Washington County home in Arkansas when a man came to the door asking for directions. He forced himself inside her home and when she attempted to block him he stabbed her in her side.Lisseth told 5NEWS that the first thing she thought was “he’s going to kill me” and she wanted to protect her child. She pushed the man away and that’s when Blackie came to her rescue.The Labrador Retriever jumped on the man and scared him off. After Blackie attacked the stranger, the intruder fled. Lissbeth was rushed to hospital and her stab wound was treated. It was not life threatening and she is now at home recovering. Deputies in Washington County are now looking for a man described as tall, white with a medium build. He is bald with a goatee and was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He is believed to be driving a dark blue two-door older model pick up truck and fled Lissebeth’s residence is on Osage Hog Farm Road toward Benton County.
